MBA Accreditations

Here are the 3 major accreditations that the Business Schools are chasing.
1. AMBA or the Association of MBAs is an worldwide neutral authority for postgraduate business education based in London. The organization accredits Business programs worldwide. AMBA accredits the programs rather than the entire Business School.
The accreditation service is the global standard for all MBA, DBA and MBM programs. The Association of MBAs currently accredits MBA programs at 19o schools in over 70 countries.

2. EQUIS or the European Quality Improvement System (or EQUIS) specializes in higher education institutions that offer business and management education. Accreditation is given on general quality. ItCSB. The accreditation is given conditionally for three years, or unconditionally for five. The Accreditations is run by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). As of August 2010, EQUIS has accredited 127 business schools in 35 countries around the world.

3. The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business – AACSB is a global, nonprofit membership association of business schools and universities, companies and other institution dedicated to the improvement of management and business education. The organization, founded in 1916 – gives its member institutions a variety of products and services to help them with the continuous development of their educational offers and schools.
AASCB is an American organization and has by December 2011 accredited 643 institutions from 43 countries.
